Website startups that don't suck

There are tons of websites out there (TechCrunch, Mashable, HN, Launch, etc.) that report on nearly every new startup that comes out each day, but 99.9% of those startups are boring and irrelevant.

This blog is intended to sort through those websites and only report on the worthwhile ones (with a small review and description telling you why you should check them out).

IFTTT’s sole intention is to automate the Internet and create connections between commonly used websites. Actions performed on one website can trigger actions on another website for you, making it effortless to share content and perform actions (as the Internet should be).

imo.im is an amazing browser client that allows you to talk with friends on nearly any instant-messaging network (Skype, Facebook, MSN, Steam, etc.). If you use more than one instant messaging account, or just want a great interface, check it out!

Raditaz is an awesome radio service that uses MediaNet’s huge library of 13 million songs and allows you to create and edit your own radio (highly customization and filterable) or listen to premade stations.

Topic: social > tool

URL2Pin.it grabs a picture of your selected website and generates a thumbnail of it; very useful for sharing (e.g. on Pinterest or Tumblr). It simply does what it needs to do.

Topic: music > radio

Vibin.fm is basically Pandora for electronic music, and it does great with that focus. There’s several areas within the electronic genre to choose from (including dance, dubstep, mashups, remixes, etc.) and you can even filter by length of songs, very cool.
